Bike Description:
The RD80LC1 was the next step in the evolution of the 80 ccm mopeds after the 1980 models were aircooled.
Liquid cooled, 6 gears, full instrumentation, monoshock, etc.
But this model was only legal for a single person. That was a desaster as the youngsters wanted to take their friend with them.
Only a few hundreds, maybe 1000 where sold in Germany.
The RD80LC1 can be changed in their specs to be outside of the expensive 80/125ccm/80km/h insurance class by mounting a 15 teeth sproket. High speed is 91 km/h then and that leads to a very cheap insurance classification: Motorbike up to 10 hp.
